Great Yarmouth boxer Mikie Webber-Kane’s Southern Area title fight is off.

Webber-Kane was due to face fellow unbeaten fighter Robert Caswell in a super-featherweight clash at York Hall next Saturday.

But Caswell has been forced to pull out because of injury.

“Absolutely gutted to announce I’ve had to pull out of my fight next Saturday,” he wrote on social media. “In the last round of my last spar on Wednesday I perforated my eardrum, which has only got worse. Can’t put into words how gutted I am – was in the best shape of my career and ready to go.

“Apologies to everyone who’s bought a ticket. Hopefully it heals quickly and we can get it rescheduled before the year is out.”
