Norfolk boxer Mikie Webber-Kane has been handed a Southern Area title shot.
The 25-year-old from Great Yarmouth will face Robert Caswell for the super-featherweight crown on October 14, at York Hall.
Webber-Kane took his unbeaten record to 10-0-0 last weekend, on the same bill as Caswell, who is now eight unbeaten and who, at five foot 11, has a four-inch height advantage over Webber-Kane.
Webber-Kane trains under Tony Norman, at Spartans in Great Yarmouth, and Graham Everett, out of the Pro Boxing Centre in Norwich.
“This is a really good fight,” said Everett. “Mikie has definitely earned this opportunity. He boxed a lot of home shows and then his last four fights have been at York Hall, which has become his second home.
“He has bult up that experience and now we are ready to test himself again.
“It’s a great fight on a championship fight packed bill and a first title fight for Mikie and his head coach Tony Norman - exciting times for them and all the Yarmouth army who have been on the road supporting us.”
