Gorleston made a winning start to the Wellesley era and made progress into the FA Cup Preliminary Round after they beat Heacham 4-1.
Gorleston's line up showed seven differences to the side that started their last game which was the Norfolk Senior Cup victory in May.
New signings Luke Johnson, Dion Frary, Joe Jefford, Ryan Curtis and Alby Matthews all made their debuts.
The Greens made the breakthrough in the 33rd minute.
Luke Johnson's ball in from the right found its way to Jacek Zielonka on the left. He took his time before picking his spot just inside the far post and curling the ball into the net.
Four minutes later it was two.
Henry Pollock on the left, close to the byline, struck a low cross in with the outside of his left foot. The ball bent towards the near post where keeper, Aaron Watson, looked to have it covered but the ball squirmed through his legs and over the line.
This was Pollock's first goal for Gorleston.
Twelve minutes into the second half, Heacham were back in the game. A corner from the left saw Luke Gray rise highest to head down into the bottom left corner of Jessup's goal.
However, six minutes later, Gorleston restored their two goal lead when their corner was half cleared to Connor Deeks.
His cross back in fell to Ryan Curtis on the edge of the box and he volleyed into the corner of the net for a debut goal.
Pollock saw his header from Kyle Ingram's cross pushed round the post by Watson then Ingram himself whipped in a free kick which Watson was forced to tip over the bar.
A minute from time, a through ball by Luke Johnson into the box saw Sam Wooldridge sliding in at the post to turn the ball in to make it four.
Gorleston are back at The Wellesley on Saturday for their first league game of the season against New Salamis.
