A Wetherspoons pub has been given permission to open its beer garden for longer hours.
The William Adams, on High Street in Gorleston, applied to Great Yarmouth Borough Council to extend the closing time of its beer garden from 9pm to 11pm.
Approving the application, a planning officer said the extension was "not considered to give rise to a significant change in noise and disturbances to neighbouring properties and therefore would not sufficiently harm neighbouring amenity".
The council's environmental services were consulted on the application and noted there were no records on their database for historic noise complaints regarding the venue.
They raised no objection to the proposal.
The William Adams pub, a development which cost £2.2m, was granted planning permission in February 2016.
The pub was named after William Adams, a man who saved 140 people from drowning, mainly during his time as a Gorleston Beach bathing hut attendant.
The site was also once home to a Methodist chapel which stood there in various forms for 150 years.
