A star impressionist will be the voice of several famous rock stars in a pantomime.

The Man They Call G will provide the voices for seven rock stars in St George's Theatre's Snow White pantomime in Great Yarmouth.

The show will feature a twist on the classic tale, with seven rock stars, including Mick Jagger, Elton John, and Ozzy Osbourne, replacing the usual mini-miners.

The identities of the other stars will be revealed when the show begins.

The Man They Call G, who has lived in Norfolk since 2001, has been performing professionally since 1998.

He said: "St George’s is a fab little theatre.

“I had such a great time playing dame in panto here back in 2016 and 2017 so when I was asked to provide voices for this show I jumped at the chance.

"I’ve never been a magic mirror before, and doing voices for giant cartoon heads is definitely a first for me.”

Mark Williams, a member of the St George’s team, created the lightweight heads.

He said: “We went for artists who had very distinctive features and the heads are really caricatures of those people.

"It has taken a long time but has been a labour of love, and they will look and sound wonderful on stage.”

Debbie Thompson, St George’s theatre director, said: “Snow White will be a pantomime with real wow factor.

"From the specially commissioned set and those amazing heads to the technical wizardry and our incredibly talented cast, this is going to be a really memorable family night out.”

Snow White, written by Nick Earnshaw and directed by Katie Thompson, is at St George’s Theatre from December 13 to 31.
