A Norfolk town's McDonald's owner is "thrilled" to have reopened its doors to customers following a 40-day refurbishment.

The fast food chain in Regent Road, Great Yarmouth, which is owned and operated by local franchisee Kevin Foley, has been closed for a revamp inside the restaurant since the beginning of October.

Now five weeks later, the new-look premises have reopened by the expected date of Wednesday, November 6.

"After 40 days of transformation, this store has gone from a building site to a stylish, modern space that’s buzzing with energy, right in the heart of our vibrant community.

"With new facilities designed specifically for dine-in guests and couriers, we’re looking forward to offering an even better experience for everyone who visits.

"We can’t wait to welcome you all back to enjoy the fresh look and feel – a change that not only enhances our customers' experience but also makes our staff’s jobs a little easier.”

Changes to the McDonald’s kitchen and dining areas are said to have created more space and more ordering stations have been built.

The removal of the front counter is said to offer a more efficient way to order and will leave customers with more space to enjoy their meals.

In addition, there has been a redesign of the crew room to create a more relaxing space for them.
