Locals are being asked for their thoughts on £500,000 plans for a new cycling route in Gorleston.
The proposed route in Middletons Road would provide cyclists with access between south and north Gorleston and the work would also include new zebra crossings for pedestrians and raised junctions at all side roads.
Proposals show that the cycle lanes would include reflective wands to segregate cyclists from the main part of the road with parking banned on the cycle lanes and pavement.
Cllr Graham Plant, Norfolk County Council’s cabinet member for highways, infrastructure and transport and local ward councillor for the area said: "Working with the borough council, Middleton Road was identified as a key location to improve cycle links to the college and town amenities and provide a safer environment for everyone using the area.

"We'd like anyone who lives in or regularly travels through this area by any mode to share their views.
“The feedback we receive will be carefully considered and provide valuable information as we shape the final proposed design for the project.”
The plans can be viewed on the Norfolk County Council website and large copies are available to view and takeaway from Gorleston Library.
The deadline for responses is November 24 and the project is being funded by the government’s Active Travel Fund.
