A high school has been shortlisted for a prestigious national award.
Caister Academy, in Great Yarmouth, has been named as a finalist in the Music Teacher Magazine’s Music and Drama Education Awards.
The school has been nominated for the new MTI award for achievement in musical theatre provision.
This award, sponsored by Music Theatre International, highlights outstanding achievements in musical theatre education.
The winners will be chosen by a panel of expert judges and announced at a live ceremony on January 30.

Helen Seath, principal at Caister Academy, said: “We are so proud to have been shortlisted for such a prestigious award.
“Huge congratulations in particular to everyone involved in our summer production of Legally Blonde.
"Natalie Curston, Caister's head of performing arts, and the team work tirelessly to give our young people opportunities to perform all year.
"This achievement follows an amazing set of GCSE results in summer 2024, where our students broke all previous records for achievement at the school."
The awards celebrate the work of professionals, schools, companies, charities, and other organisations across the UK.
