An event is being held to raise awareness of diabetes.
East Coast Community Healthcare (ECCH) is holding the Diabetes Awareness event in Great Yarmouth to mark World Diabetes Day.
The event will be at the Marina Leisure Centre on Thursday, November 14, from 1.30pm to 3.30pm.
Great Yarmouth has the highest number of people with prediabetes in Norfolk and Waveney.
Prediabetes means blood sugar levels are higher than normal, but not high enough to be diagnosed as Type 2 diabetes.

Healthcare professionals from ECCH’s podiatry, neurology, dietetics and cardiac rehab services will be at the event to give help and support to those living with diabetes, as well as their families and carers.
Other organisations will also be at the event, such as East Norfolk Medical Practice, Reed Wellbeing, Different Strokes, Slimming World, Everyone Active and Xyla – National Diabetes Prevention Programme.
ECCH is a social enterprise that provides NHS community health services across Norfolk and Suffolk.
The organisation uses any extra resources to benefit the local community.
