Jurors have been shown footage of the moment a man accused of murder seems to confess to killing his partner.

Adam Barnard, 41, had been in a "volatile" relationship with Tara Kershaw, 33, for about a year before her body was found at a property in Princes Road, Great Yarmouth, just after 9am on January 20 this year.

Barnard, who attended Great Yarmouth Police Station shortly before 9am on January 20, approached the desk asking to speak to police and saying he suspected he had killed his partner.

He said: "I think I've killed her."

An emotional Barnard told police where she lived.

Officers then called for other units to attend the address, saying: "I've got a male who is very upset who has just said he may have killed his partner."

Barnard said: "She is dead.

"What the f**k is going on."

Officers told colleagues they had "got him in cuffs."

Barnard was told by police he was being arrested "on suspicion of suspected murder" and he would be remanded in custody.

The court has previously heard Miss Kershaw was found to have sustained "multiple fractures involving the hyoid bone" in the neck, with three different ages of fractures.

They can be dated to between four and seven weeks before death; five and 10 days before death; and six hours before death.

Barnard, of Princes Road, Yarmouth, has denied murder and manslaughter.

The trial continues.
