An upgraded playground with new equipment worth £110,000 has opened in a seaside village.
Children from Caister Junior School were invited to officially launch the amenity at the King George V playing field on Allendale Road on Tuesday, October 22.
Caister Parish Council chairman Kevin Wood said: "It's a really positive thing.
"Once school was finished, the place was rammed with kids," he added.
In the past, the playground was run by Great Yarmouth Borough Council - but Mr Wood said the old facility was 25-years-old and "out of date".
The parish council built the playground and they will maintain it.
Funding for the work came from Section 106 agreement with the borough council.
This provides money to mitigate the impact of new developments by enhancing local infrastructure, including recreational facilities.
Previously, councillor Penny Carpenter, who represents Caister North ward at the borough council, said the new playground equipment is vital for "fostering a sense of community".
Playgrounds offer children a safe space to explore, learn, and develop important social and physical skills, she said.
