A seaside fish and chip shop is closing its doors after opening 15 months ago after the current owners decided to move on.

Superfry, owned by Steve Temple and Wayne Doherty, opened in Beach Road in Caister last July.

The shop offered a selection of chip shop classics but notably launched with signature "high roller" Yorkshire pudding wraps.

Its distinct retro 70s disco theming made it instantly recognisable with large painted murals lining the interior.

On Facebook this morning the shop announced this will be its last week serving the town before closing on Sunday, October 27 as it goes up for sale.

The closure comes as the owners decided "the chip shop is no longer in their future aspirations" and are putting the chippy back on the market.

Mr Temple said: "I run another business as well and there just isn't time to fully manage both so we decided to sell.

"The freehold is up for sale and we've already had a few people interested so hopefully it'll be back open for business very soon."

Manager Andy aka Nobby said: "It will be very nice to see all of my regulars this week so we can say farewell for now.
