The storm is still expected to hit the country on Wednesday and Thursday with strong winds reaching as far as East Anglia.
The Met Office has forecast winds to reach category eight gales along the Norfolk coast with Cromer set to see speeds hit 43mph in the early hours of Thursday morning.
Norwich is forecast more manageable wind speeds of around 35mph.
The former hurricane will also bring two days of wet and grey conditions with heavy rain predicted alongside the wind.
By Friday the ex-hurricane will have blown over the county and more mild and stable conditions will return for a sunnier and pleasant weekend.
