Children and families have enjoyed the official re-opening of a park in a Norfolk seaside town after its extensive revamp.
People at the Blackfriars Play Area in Great Yarmouth also relished in activities held by the Time and Tide Museum of Great Yarmouth Life during the opening event.
The transformation of the play area was funded by contributions from developers and borough council capital funds.

The mayor of Great Yarmouth, Paula Waters-Bunn, opened the new look area and said: ‘’It brings me great joy to see the work completed, ready to welcome a new generation of playful adventurers.
"One of the standout features of this refurbishment is the introduction of new inclusive play equipment which means children of all abilities can enjoy the playground, making it a welcoming and accessible space for everyone.
"In addition, we are proud to introduce sustainable, environmentally friendly ground surfacing – this not only provides a safe and durable surface but also aligns with our commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.’’
The refurbishment is based on a maritime theme and has a colourful scheme to explore.
The new inclusive play equipment includes a wheelchair-accessible roundabout. Sutcliffe Play Ltd’s equipment is all sustainably manufactured in Britain from UK-sourced materials.
A borough council statement said: "Children, families and guests today enjoyed the official opening of the Blackfriars Play Area in Great Yarmouth following its extensive revamp."
