A Norfolk hospital has warned patients to only attend in a 'genuine emergency'.
The James Paget University Hospital (JPUH) in Gorleston is directing people to the 111 service, GP or pharmacist after a surge in demand.
In a statement on its Facebook page, it said: "Our hospital is really busy. Please use 111 first and only come to A&E if it is a genuine emergency."
The hospital has advised people who need medical help, but don’t know which service they need or if it’s urgent but not an emergency, to use the NHS 111 service first by dialling 111 from any phone or by going online; https://111.nhs.uk/
