Police cordoned off the back of a derelict hotel in Great Yarmouth following reports of a rape.
A seal was in place while forensic services carried out investigations at the back of the Star Hotel on Howard Street South on Thursday.
Enquiries led officers to the site following a report of a rape in the town at around 8pm the previous night.
The cordon has since been lifted.
Works to secure and repair parts of the hotel were due to start this week.
Since closing in 2020, the site has become a hive of criminal activity, including arson attacks and repeated antisocial behaviour as it was taken over as a hideout for county lines gangs.
