A court found an interpreter to allow the case of a man accused of being involved in the production of cannabis to go ahead.

Mark Kola, 34, was arrested on May 31 alongside Fatjon Hallaci, 32, after police discovered a cannabis farm inside the former NatWest building on Hall Quay, Great Yarmouth. Both were charged with the production of cannabis.

The men appeared at Norwich Magistrates' Court on Monday, but Kola's hearing was adjourned so the court could source an Albanian interpreter.

Hallaci was remanded in custody on Monday until his Crown Court hearing on July 1.

At least three police vehicles and officers were seen close to the derelict Star Hotel at around 11.30pm.

Hours before, police raided the old NatWest bank where they discovered a cannabis farm spread out across three floors.

A seal was in place over the weekend and on Monday. The building's front door has since been boarded up.
