Part of the A47 was gridlocked after a broken-down van blocked the road.
The Acle Straight was at a standstill causing huge delays for drivers travelling along the busy route.
The van blew a tyre halfway along the road, blocking one lane.

Police were called to the Acle Straight at 2.53pm.
Long tailbacks built in both directions with drivers seeing traffic from the Acle roundabout along the entire stretch to the Runham roundabout in Great Yarmouth.
