The moment a car narrowly avoided hitting a mobility scooter before crashing into the side of a convenience store has been caught by CCTV.

A Ford Fiesta crashed into an advertisement bollard and the front of the Spar shop on Gorleston High Street shortly after 10.30am today (May 20).

As the car left the road, it appeared to have been within inches of hitting a mobility scooter outside the shop.

People on the street rushed to the scene moments after the collision. The East Anglian Ambulance Service was on scene but no injuries were reported.
