"A lot of people have said they are"It's been a long time since the last newsagents closed. And people have had to use their cars or take the bus just to get a pint of milk or a newspaper."
The new Premier has added a ramp to its entrance to ensure it is accessible. The shop is fully stocked, but it will be a few weeks before the store's new permanent signage is added to the front.
In 2010, the unit and its neighbouring store had been transformed into a busy hub for hairdressing, beauty, fashion, educational classes and courses.
The St Nicholas Drive Premier is open seven days a week, from 7am until 9pm.
