A Spanish tall ship described as a floating museum is sailing into Great Yarmouth this spring.

Galeón Andalucía, a replica of a 17th-century Spanish galleon, will arrive at the town's South Quay in May.
 
The vessel showcases the history of the ships and the period they operated in, complete with crew in period costumes.

It is 162 ft long and 33 ft wide, with 10 cast iron cannons on each side, and its seven sails have a surface area of almost 1,000 square metres.
 
Ruth Cockrill, Great Yarmouth Borough Council’s marketing events officer, said: ‘’The visit promises to offer a fascinating day out for people of all ages.

"She is a truly incredible ship and we can’t wait for her arrival, it promises to be a stunning spectacle for people to enjoy on South Quay.’’

Coinciding with half term, the ship will be open to the public between May 28 and June 9.
 
Tickets will cost £12 per adult, £6 per child or £30 for a family ticket for two adults and up to three children.
