A bid to open a new Lidl store in Caister has been lodged with planners.
Lidl has submitted papers to Great Yarmouth Borough Council (GYBC) in relation to their hopes to open a new supermarket on land adjacent to Yarmouth Stadium.
The proposal also includes two drive-through restaurants.
At this stage, the applicant is asking planners whether an environmental impact assessment (EIA) is required for the proposals.
The new store would open at the junction between Yarmouth Road and the Caister By-Pass, with access from the adjacent roundabout.
The site is 2.6ha and currently used as overflow parking for Yarmouth Stadium, with the remainder being grassland.

Documents state that a new toucan crossing is being proposed to the north of the roundabout.
The supermarket would have 135 parking spaces, while the restaurants would have 50 and 46 spaces.
The plans also say that an assessment showed the proposal would have limited impact on the local roads.
Previously, a Lidl spokesman said the future of Lidl in Caister was at risk if the plans for the new store were not approved.
