People in Great Yarmouth have been invited to pay tribute to the millions of people who lost their lives through Nazi persecution during the events of World War Two.
This year's annual Holocaust Memorial Day service will take place at the Caister Municipal Cemetery in Ormesby Road, Caister, on January 27.
The ceremony, led by Rev Albert Cadmore, will be attended by Great Yarmouth Borough mayor Penny Carpenter, and the president of the Great Yarmouth branch of the Royal British Legion, Colleen Walker.
Members of the public are invited to join the service, which will start at 11am. People are asked to arrive a few minutes early to ensure they are present before the service begins.
Great Yarmouth Mayor Penny Carpenter said: ‘’Here at Great Yarmouth Borough Council we are proud to support Holocaust Memorial Day and provide an opportunity for our residents to remember the six million Jews and millions of people from other groups who were murdered under Nazi persecution during the Holocaust.
‘’It is also a chance to reflect on recent genocides throughout the world. We hope as many people as possible are able to attend the service.’’
