Land has been cleared to make way for a new 66-bed care home less than a mile away from the James Paget University Hospital in Gorleston.
The development behind the Toby Carvery on Guinevere Way will see the construction of a three-storey care home with 25 parking spaces for visitors and staff and external garden space.
Documents submitted by Leeds-based LNT Care Developments show an L-shaped building in red brick with a grey roof arranged over three storeys.
Now, the land has been cleared for construction to start in the near future.
Plans were originally approved in September, but the development was delayed due to amendments made to the proposed layout, including more parking spaces, an electricity sub-station and a meter house with a garden store building.

The care home, for people aged over 65, would be staffed 24/7 and operate a shift pattern style of working, but would have no resident staff.
The home will be for people with general care needs as well as those with dementia, with secure landscaped gardens. All the rooms are single en-suites.
The "much-needed" social care service would bring up to 60 new jobs.
