The growing popularity of a hospital's carol service has seen it being moved to Great Yarmouth's largest church.
The James Paget University Hospital in Gorleston traditionally holds its annual staff Carol Service in its chapel.
However the event’s growing popularity means it is being moved to a much bigger venue - the largest church in Great Yarmouth.
This year, the service is being held at Great Yarmouth Minster on Monday, December 18 - and it’s open to the public too.
Hospital lead chaplain Rev Clive Howard said: “There’s limited seating available in our chapel, and the carol service has become so popular that it has been standing room only for the last few years.

“So this year, we decided to think big - and are holding the event in Great Yarmouth Minster.
“So there will be plenty of room not only for our staff and their families but also members of the local community too.

“People of all faiths are welcome to join us at what will be a very special community event, made possible thanks to the help of Rev Canon Simon Ward and his team at the Minster - and the support of our chief nurse Paul Morris and chief executive Jo Segasby.”

The service will start at 6.30pm, with a grand procession of hospital staff.
This year’s service is in aid of the Yarmouth and Magdalen Foodbank – so guests are invited to consider bringing along a food or toiletry donation, such as tinned meat, fish, fruit, vegetables, and shower gels.
The Yarmouth and Magdalen Foodbank launched in March 2022 and operate out of two centres, a hub at The Pathway Cafe in Admiralty Road, Great Yarmouth and at St Mary Magdalene Church, Magdalen Square in Gorleston.
