A busy Norfolk road will be closed later this month as £35k work gets under way.

To carry out repairs to the road surface in Haddiscoe, the A143 at the junction of The Street and Thorpe Road will be closed overnight for three nights from December 11.

Work, which will cost £35,600, will involve patching the existing carriageway and repainting the carriageway lines.

The road will be closed between 8pm and 6am but people will have access to their homes for the duration of the works.

A signed diversion route will be provided for the entirety of the closure.

Another section of the A143 in nearby Fritton and St Olaves saw a week of closures in November to replace its old pavement surface and have damaged kerbs removed.
