As the festive season approaches, the spirit of giving and receiving shines bright.
But for many people in Great Yarmouth as the cost of living crisis continues to wage war on people's finances Christmas can be a time without much cheer.
And now for the sixth year in a row, volunteers from Football Against Dementia will be filling Christmas stockings to help spread a little festive cheer.
The Christmas Stocking Campaign will be collecting donations of toys and other Christmas gifts, while 'elves' hand them out in the run-up to the big day.
Organiser Trevor Saunders said: “Since launching six years ago, we have given out over 8,000 Christmas stockings to local people having a tough time.
"2023 has been a tough year for many people and families. We continue to try and bring a bit of Christmas community spirit to those who need it."
Donations can be made at Lidl on Pasteur Road, with other collection points to be announced.
