Potter Heigham faced with floods in Storm Ciarán aftermath

Emergency services have been assisting flood wardens in Potter Heigham after the storm coincided with high water levels on the River Thurne.

Local business Lathams is undergoing a huge clean-up operation after water flooded the car park.

"We've had to have people on the site pretty much 24/7 and we're all volunteers.

"There just aren't the resources to deal with this."

Flooding has been seen across the county after saturated ground was battered by the second storm in the space of two weeks.

Mr Rice added: "We have to be learning from this and mitigate the next storm. 

"At the moment we're just having to adapt as we go.

"We need to be reviewing how we deal with things - maybe there's a better way."
