A senior councillor has said she is "really disappointed" over the lack of information from nursery bosses after a childcare facility closed in Gorleston without any warning.
The House of Fun Nursery, on Longs Industrial Estate in Gorleston, was told to close with immediate effect on Wednesday by owner, Scottish company DK Acquisitions.
The nursery was believed to have about 60 children on its books.
Norfolk County Council says its Family Information Service is on hand to help parents find alternative education for their children after the House of Fun Nursery closed.

Penny Carpenter, cabinet member for children’s services, said: “We had no prior warning that House of Fun Nursery was going to close and I completely sympathise with parents, staff and children there.
"We will do all we can to help families find new nursery places.
“House of Fun was a privately run business and we still hadn’t had any contact from the owners to let us know about the reasons for the closure, or to ask for any assistance.
"I am personally really disappointed in how the business has handled this and can understand parents’ frustration.
“Our Family Information Service is here to help parents and carers find alternative childcare.

"I want to reassure parents that they will be able to transfer their funded places to other providers, so they do not need to worry about losing any funding.”
Graham Plant, county councillor for Gorleston, said: “The closure of this nursery, with no notice, has left parents, children and staff in such a difficult position at the beginning of the new term and it is unacceptable that the business didn’t give people any warning, or reach out for help."
"I would encourage families to ask for help, if they’re struggling to find an alternative placement, and the council’s Family Information Service will do all it can to assist.”
