People in Great Yarmouth worried that their bicycles will be stolen can have them marked by the police in the town's St George's Park.
Following concerns of bike thefts in the south of the town, Great Yarmouth Police have organised a bike marking event at the park on Saturday, August 12 between 9am and 2pm.
People will be able to have their bikes marked and registered on the National Cycle Database.
The police use the database to search for stolen and recovered bikes, so registering not only discourages theft, but also increases the chances of people getting their bike back if it is stolen.
A statement from Great Yarmouth Police said: "This event has been organised in direct response to requests from South Yarmouth residents to take action against bike theft in their neighbourhood."
