Emergency services have been praised following the outbreak of a fire at a house of multiple occupancy near Great Yarmouth seafront.
A blaze started at the Ashwood on Nelson Road South on Saturday at around 9am, prompting eight fire crews, an aerial ladder and a control unit to the busy residential street.
It is believed the Ashwood was operating as an HMO at the time of the fire.
The circumstances of the fire are not currently known, but no one is believed to have been injured in the incident.
On Sunday, nearby the smell of smoke remained in the area and burnt debris lay on the floor of the entranceway to the four-storey building.
The property's ground-floor windows and doors have been secured with wooden boards. Some damage to the HMO's roof is visible from a top-floor window.
Neighbour Manuel Bernardo said the emergency services did a brilliant job assisting people, securing the area and tackling the blaze.
"It was scary," Mr Bernardo said.
"I was having my morning coffee when I could smell smoke. The next thing I know, I was being evacuated to the end of the road.
"The police did a good job of making people safe while firefighters hosed the building.
"It was horrible, but it's good that no one was harmed and the fire seemed to have just stayed in the one building."
Another neighbour, who did not wish to be named, also commended the fire brigade's response.
"It was very well-organised," the neighbour said.
"It certainly put my mind at ease. I just hope the property can be restored and the residents are doing okay."
Saturday's blaze comes three months after another building on Nelson Road South was gutted by a fire.
The derelict former Victory Hotel had been shut down as an illegal drugs farm six weeks before a fire destroyed the inside and the building's roof.
On Sunday, scaffolding surrounded a neighbouring property, but the former Victory Hotel remained boarded up.
