The summer season has started with a bang at the Hippodrome in Great Yarmouth.
The Edwardian circus building on St George's Road has opened its doors for its summer season, starting with special performances for local schools.
Longtime Hippodrome performer Johnny Mac said: "The energy and excitement from the local students is amazing.
"For many of our younger audience members it's the first time seeing a circus. For some, it's their first live show at all. They make so much noise, it's like a rock concert."
While most local schools haven't finished their terms for the summer, it's still a chance for producer Jack Jay to get a feel for what is to come for the season and the resort as a whole.
Mr Jay said: "Audiences are loving the show. This is our most ambitious and exciting show ever.
"It's been an encouraging start."
The show brings together a cast featuring stunt-riding motorbike riders, stars from America's Got Talent, Cirque Du Soliel Jugglers, and acts never seen in the UK.
These international performers will join Hippodromes’ cast of dancers and swimmers until September 17.
