A loyal holidaymaker has returned to Great Yarmouth to hand out more artwork of some of the seaside resort's best-loved characters.

For six years, Jonathan "JJ" Lucia-Wright, from Peterborough, has been visiting the town delivering his saucy-seaside-style caricatures to local people and businesses.

Over the past 12 months, Mr Lucia-Wright has been "in the zone" creating artistic tributes to the faces and places that keep him, his wife Claire and their dog Dolly returning year after year.

"It's like coming home," said Mr Lucia-Wright, 49.

"As you walk around, you get to know the people who make this town what it is. There are a lot of characters, friendly faces and hardworking businesses.

"It is just epic."

Visiting the area until next Friday, Mr Lucia-Wright will be hand-delivering his 30 new pieces to people, including Pleasure Beach log flume part owner Jayne Banks, the staff from Regent Road's Grill and Grind and Yarmouth's very own living statue, Ant Arnold.

"It's a real mixture of characters," the artist said.

"If it's something interesting or a business which means something to me, I draw it. And I do it for nothing other than the love of it."

A keen artist since a young age, Mr Lucia-Wright said he hit his stride after recovering from a health scare which could have left him blind.

"About seven years ago, my diabetes had affected my eyes and it was a bit scary for a couple of months," he said.

"I realised that if I couldn't draw, I don't know what I'd do.

"As soon as things cleared up, I committed myself to this.

"It's become a big community thing. And when I give them to people, it brings as big of a smile to my face as it does theirs."
