A collaboration between police, retailers and other groups in Great Yarmouth has won an award for tackling underage drinking in the town.
Great Yarmouth Community Alcohol Partnership (CAP) has won a national award for its work in promoting the health and wellbeing of local young people in the local area.
The CAP received the award at an event at Westminster.
The partnership was praised for the work it has done to engage young people and parents in the local area.

Sergeant Dan Smith, from Norfolk Police and co-ordinator of the CAP, said: “Building on the partnerships we have forged over the past decade the Great Yarmouth CAP have embraced the one team ethos creating a stronger than ever partnership including the sister Gorleston CAP.

"This has produced a year of multi-agency work which has been both enjoyable and productive, and has involved the largest amounts of partners and police officers to date.
"This approach has ensured a consistent message across the district and ensures the CAP principles are as far reaching as possible," he added.

Sir Brandon Lewis, Great Yarmouth MP and who presented the award to the CAP, said: “I was delighted to present Sgt Daniel Smith from Great Yarmouth CAP with the CAP+ of the Year Award.
"The Great Yarmouth Community Alcohol Partnership plays a vital role in our community and it is right that they receive this award not only as a testament to all their hard work, but also as a measure of the success they have achieved in their ongoing partnership with Gorleston and Bradwell CAP."
He said the CAP’s commitment to providing alcohol awareness and understanding means that they have been able to engage with young people both out in the community and in schools and colleges.
