Great Yarmouth: Blackwell Print is under new ownership

Blackwell Print will be taken forward by new owners Tom Davison, Ryan Holt and Aaron Watson, bringing over a combined-35 years of print experience and industry knowledge between them.

The print group - which also consists of Advantage Media and Paperwave, operating under the Bendart umbrella - employs 15 staff and has a turnover of £1.3m based from its 1,050sqm production site in Charles Street.

The company mainly serves business-to-business companies across the country.

Mr Davison, managing director, said: "We are excited to have acquired the print group and look forward to building upon the success and foundations that have been achieved over the years with our team."

The business operates both locally and nationally as Blackwell Print along with its online brand Advantage Media.

Additionally, the business runs Paperwave, its online photo printing business that has attracted more than 50,000 customers globally.

Since the buyout earlier this month, the trio have just launched its own publishing brand, Paperwave Publishing, which will sit under the Bendart umbrella and see it produce a range of monthly titles, including its flagship publication Live Local.

Mr Holt, sales director, said: "It is an exciting chapter for the business and I am looking forward to developing our relationships with customers further and bringing new ones on board."

Paperwave Group, which owns Bendart Limited, was bought out after the previous owners - Graham Gooda, Keith Moore, Aaron and Joanne Hodges - decided to call time on their 43-year print journey. 

Mr Gooda and Mr Moore are set to enjoy their retirement, while Mr and Mrs Hodges are exploring new career opportunities.
