A 28-year-old man has been charged with the cultivation of a Class B drug in Great Yarmouth.

Adriatik Vata, of no fixed abode, was arrested on Friday morning after police were called to a property on Nelson Road Central.

Vata appeared for a first hearing at Norwich Magistrates Court on Saturday and was remanded in custody to appear at Norwich Magistrates Court on July 20.

Vata was arrested at the property alongside a man and a woman in their 40s and a man in his 30s.

Police had been called to reports of a burglary at a property in Nelson Road Central.

They subsequently discovered around 55 cannabis plants after entering the property.

The other people who were arrested in connection to the incident were arrested on suspicion of cultivation of a Class B drug and taken to Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre for questioning and have since been released under investigation.
