A hair salon on the coast has won a national accolade which its owner described as "just wonderful".
The Hair Base, on Gorleston High Street, faced strong competition from hundreds of salons across the UK at the 2023 Salon Business Awards.
The hairdressers was nominated as a finalist in four categories - and in a ceremony held at Mayfair in London they were crowned this year's 'Best Customer Service Salon'.
Emma Jarvis, owner, said winning the award reflects the hard work and dedication of the whole team.

The awards were judged by a panel of industry leaders who praised Hair Base's client-focused campaigns.
Special mention was given to its Menopause Mayhem events which offered advice about the transition.
Ms Jarvis said: "We, as a salon, aim to break the stigma of hairdressers being places people are scared to walk into.
"We are all about people, a friendly environment and being as open, relaxing and inviting as possible.
"We are all professionals who are highly skilled in the art of hairdressing, but our main goal is the client and achieving their desired personal evolution," she added.

With over 23 years in Gorleston, The Hair Base is a well-known salon on the High Street.
Ms Jarvis opened the boutique in 1999 with £1,800, a pair of scissors, and a vision for a client-focused, community-based salon.
In February, she launched a new hairdressing academy to help stylists keep their skills up-to-date.
Joanne Charlton, publishing editor at Salon Business, an industry trade magazine, said the win was "a huge achievement with so much competition among the finalists".
She added that the award "couldn’t be more deserved" and that the salon's "attention to detail in every area is phenomenal".
Last year, the salon was named Best in Norfolk at the awards.
