For more than 20 years, Julie's Carboot has been a Sunday tradition for traders and visitors in Burgh Castle.

Each week throughout the warmer seasons, hundreds of people wander the Market Road field keeping their eyes peeled for a bargain. From fruit and veg to vintage records, the gigantic jumble sale has something for everyone.

With pitches being set up from 6am and the event lasting through to the early afternoon (weather permitting), we asked some of the traders what makes Julie's so special.

Farmer Suzi Russell, from Lound, has been selling plants, flowers and fruit and veg from her regular pitch on Market Road for 17 years. She said it's the "local family" feel that keeps traders and shoppers coming back.

"The relationships you establish with people here is so important," she said.

"Customers have seen my little girl grow up from when she was just a bump. People want that connection with the people they buy goods from.

"Julie's is always friendly, always clean and never any hassle. It's a proper little community and we all look out for one another."

"The customers are always friendly and you do get your regulars first thing," she said.

"If you ever need anything, people are there for you here. And it's always so busy.

"And, on days like today, it's not a bad way of spending a Sunday."
