Neighbours are objecting to a bid by a high street Wetherspoons to extend drinking hours in its beer garden.
The William Adams in Gorleston has applied to Great Yarmouth Borough Council (GYBC) to vary its licence to permit the consumption of food and alcohol in the outdoor area from 8am to 11pm.
The current licence allows customers to drink and eat outside until 9pm.
In March, the borough council granted the venue permission to extend the closing time of its beer garden from 9pm to 11pm.
But neighbours living on Duke Road have "strongly opposed" the latest application over concerns about noise pollution.
Their objection states that Wetherspoons has "done nothing to curtail the noise" which they say comes from the beer garden.
The application will be heard at a meeting of the borough council's licensing sub-committee on Tuesday, June 13.
Sub-committee members have been told they can grant the application, modify the conditions of the licence or reject the whole or part of the application.
