A bid to convert three former pig pens into 'luxury' housing has been approved by planners.
Dick Smith, of Tredwell Developments based in Oulton Broad, has been granted planning permission for a site at Burghwell Lodge on Market Road in Burgh Castle, near Gorleston.
According to the application, the proposal "represents an opportunity to develop three grand properties in a stunning location".
A supporting document says the properties' proximity to industrial estates and the new offshore renewable energy sites could encourage business leaders to move to the area, "with the economic and commercial boosts that these bring to the local economy".

The barns are currently vacant and in "a run down and over grown state" but, according to planners at Great Yarmouth Borough Council, are "capable of conversion".

A planning officer said the barns are "visually distinctive" and play a key role in part of the landscape character in views towards Breydon Water from Market Lane.
The proposal is for three five-bedroom houses with a total of nine parking spaces.
The developer previously got planning permission to convert two of the barns into three houses.
