A 52m high ride described as 'completely different to anything on the seafront' is coming to Great Yarmouth this summer.
Great Yarmouth Borough Council (GYBC) has approved plans to build a Star Flyer on the Golden Mile at South Beach Gardens by the Sealife Centre and Ferris Wheel.
The applicant William Abbott also runs the observation wheel.
The ride, a mostly metal structure, will boast 16 individual passenger capsules that seat two people each.
Once in motion, it will provide 365 degree views out over Great Yarmouth.
Permission for the ride has been granted for three years.

A neighbour, supporting the plan, said the Star Flyer will be "completely different to anything on the seafront and will be an attraction people will come to Yarmouth to use".
Another neighbour said that surrounding businesses "will see increased footfall due to this attraction".
Opening hours will be the same as the neighbouring Ferris Wheel: 11am to 9pm Monday to Friday, Sundays and Bank Holidays, and 11am to 10pm on Saturdays.
