A woman is hoping to raise money for surgery for her rescue dog which she has described as a 'gift' after recovering from ovarian cancer.
Ruth Davies, who lives in Bradwell, needs £7,500 to pay for treatment for Eve - but says the insurance company will not help as her pet's conditions first showed during the 'cooling off' period.
Eve was rescued from Romania and arrived in the UK in January.
"Eve is very important to me. I believe she was a gift as I, unfortunately, had ovarian cancer last year which was an extremely tough time," Ms Davies said.
The dog, which was rescued from a woodland area next to a busy road in Romania, began to show symptoms of her condition soon after arriving in Norfolk.
After weeks of antibiotics and painkillers, she had additional tests done including an ultrasound.
Eve has since been referred to a specialist centre where she requires an additional ultrasound, cystoscopy and surgery.

Ms Davies said the insurance company will not cover this due to their 14-day policy around claims.
"It has been very frustrating to be subjected to thousands of pounds in veterinary bills when I want to offer her a great life after she had such a poor start," she said.
"She was afraid of the world when she came to me but we have built such a strong bond and she has turned into such a confident happy dog."
Ms Davies has set up a fundraiser on Go Fund Me which so far has raised £1,385.

"It would mean the world to me to get support with the funding for her surgery," she said.
"The responses so far have been overwhelming and have made me very emotional."
After many trips to a local vet, Eve is now under the care of a specialist centre in Newmarket.
