Pupils at a Great Yarmouth primary school have celebrated the news that their academy is a good place to learn at.
Edward Worlledge Ormiston Academy on Suffolk Road has been rated good by Ofsted following a two-day inspection in January.
The school's previous inspection in May 2021 had rated it as inadequate.
To help celebrate the latest inspection report, pupils lined up to form a giant 'good' in their playground on World Book Day.
The Ofsted report said pupils are “surrounded by warmth and kindness”, and that all the adults involved at the school care about their wellbeing.
It added: "Every pupil at this school experiences a broad and ambitious curriculum. School leaders are keen for them to aspire to greater things."
It went on to say: "Pupils experience a school environment that is calm and purposeful.
"This is because everyone in the school learns routines that help the school day run smoothly.
"These routines also help pupils to concentrate in lessons."
The Ormiston Academies Trust-run school was also praised for its support for pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND).
Craig Honey, who was appointed principal at Edward Worlledge Ormiston Academy in September 2021, said: “I am extremely proud that we have been rated good by Ofsted.
"The latest report is a testament to the dedication of our staff, governors, trust and wider community, who have all played a part in getting Edward Worlledge to this point.
"We look forward to continuing to build on the strong foundations in place in order to give our pupils the very best education possible.”
Ofsted said the school could make further improvements with parents liking more knowledge of how SEND support works in the school and in some learning areas the curriculum does not set out sufficiently the range of vocabulary that would enable children to have a deeper understanding of subjects.
