An RNLI fundraising shop is gearing up to officially open in its temporary location in the basement of a Gorleston cafe.
The RNLI gift shop at Great Yarmouth and Gorleston Lifeboat Station on Riverside Road had to close in October for maintenance.
It is now based at Margo’s Lounge on Bells Road in Gorleston and on Saturday, January 7 it is being officially opened between 12pm and 2pm with lifeboat crew volunteers present.
An RNLI spokesperson said: "If you’re looking for some inspiration for gifts, the Great Yarmouth and Gorleston RNLI pop up shop is open and welcoming customers at Margo’s Lounge, on Bells Road just behind Gorleston Promenade.
"Not only will you be able to pick up a lovely gift, you’ll also be helping the RNLI to continue saving lives at sea."
The shop had to move after structural issues with the shop's original premises on Riverside Road were “made worse” by the number of high tides over the summer.
