A nightclub on Great Yarmouth's Golden Mile has closed its doors after seven years.
The Empire Lounge Bar on Marine Parade announced it was permanently closed via its Facebook page on Tuesday night.
The post read: "Thank you all for your custom over the years but we have took the difficult decision to close our doors... wishing you all the best."
Owner Mario George said he was unable to comment while plans for the future are being discussed.
Mr George added: "I am having some time off to rest as I've walked more steps than a donkey near Joyland."
People were saddened by the Facebook post, which also included a picture with the message 'permanently closed'.
One person commented: "Such a shame. The best club on the strip."
Another commenter said: "Shame, but wish him all the best in his new venture, he has done great last seven years with Empire Lounge Bar."
