Bowls stars from around the world are set for more than a fortnight of thrilling competition as this year’s World Indoor Bowls Championships officially get underway.
The tournament begins on January 6 at Potters Resort in Hopton, with five world titles to be claimed over 17 days.
As well as the prestigious World Singles Championship, the titles include the World Pairs Championship, Mixed Pairs World Matchplay Championship, Ladies World Matchplay Championship and the Under 25’s tournaments.
Normally some 20,000 spectators attend the event at what has become known as "the home of bowls."
This year's event is sponsored by Imagine Cruising.
John Potter, proprietor of Potters Resorts, said the company's "long association with the sport makes them a natural partner".
Robin Deller, CEO from Imagine Cruising, said that they are "passionate" about bowls.
