A much-loved ride at Pleasure Beach is saying its final farewell.
The Yarmouth amusement park is removing its log flume after 33 years.
The announcement prompted lots of response, gaining over 300 comments on Facebook.
The Pleasure Beach said in a statement on its social media: "It is with a heavy heart that we must inform you of the planned removal of the log flume this winter. The Log Flume opened at Pleasure Beach in 1989 and has been a firm customer favourite for over 30 years.
"The ride has provided families with special memories t cherish and we are extremely grateful for all the amazing experiences it has given you.
"Unfortunately, due to the ever-growing maintenance work needed to keep the ride running safely and the ongoing financial investment from the company to keep it operating, we have made the difficult decision to remove the ride this winter.
"Once the ride has been dismantled we will be liaising with the borough council as to its replacement in the foreseeable future."
People who have ridden the log flume over the years used the announcement post to recall their memories of the ride.
The ride will be removed later this year.
The amusement park also announced a new ride, saying: "As one ride departs, another arrives...We are delighted to announce that a brand-new Musik Express will be coming to Pleasure Beach for the 2023 season.
"We are so excited about the arrival of this new ride and cannot wait for you all to experience it next year. It's going to be great."
