Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II died aged 96 surrounded by her family at her home in Balmoral on Thursday.
Concerns about her health were raised by noon after doctors ordered that she remain under medical supervision.
Members of the Royal Family then rushed to be by the monarch's side.
Her death was later confirmed in a statement by Bucking Palace.
