It's an exciting time for the Norfolk Women's and Girls' Football League as a new season approaches.
The league, which recently attained Charter Standard status, has re-launched its website (nwgfl.co.uk) set up a new communication network and put a new committee structure in place.
It's the largest league of its kind in the eastern region, with over 100 teams from U10 to adult teams involved.
The number of teams is growing year by year. A third women's division has been added for the new season and the U12 section has grown from eight teams last season to 18 signed up this time round.
League chairman Karl Alderton said: "The up and coming season is going to be an exciting one. The league continues to grow and develop. With the support of all teams within the league we can continue to grow and make the league a very fun and competitive league.
"One thing I am very excited about is our new communication platform, ipatter. This is going to make the communication from the league to teams, players and parents alike to a whole new world. You will be updated on all news instantly.
"A criticism of the league in the past, was communication; this is something we are all committed to making a lot better and we think we have found the solution."
Alderton is keen to hear from any potential sponsors for the league which kicks off on the first weekend of September.
"I want to try and get companies to fund refereeing courses for the girls, coaching courses for the girls. At the moment we have so many girls dropping out of football that I want to try and give them a reason to stay in football," he said.
