A charity supper has been hailed a satisfying success, as it continues to grow every year.
The third moveable feast organised by the Louise Hamilton Centre took place in Great Yarmouth on June 16 with more than 140 diners moving around town to enjoy a three course meal spilt over different venues.
The night started at Yarmouth Town Hall with pre-dinner drinks and and an official opening with the Mayor of Yarmouth, Councillor Shirley Weymouth.
Organiser Maxine Taylor, LHC fundraiser, introudced some new eateries for 2015 and diners were split into three groups.
The ‘seafront diners’ took the town’s tourism train and tucked into delicious dishes at The Imperial, The Furzedown and the Masonic Lodge.
“The train is such a hit for this event,” said Maxine.
“The excitement when they come out of the Town Hall and get on to it is a sight to behold, with lots of cheering of excitement from the crowd as they board.”
The ‘town cluster’ saw food served up at Quayside Plaza, the Town Hall, The Courtyard Restaurant and Mocha.
Maxine added: “The guests had a fun-filled evening with no time to get bored as they ate their delicious food and then proceeded to move on to the next course and be replaced by the next eager diners.
“I would like to thank all the supporters of the evening, the eateries themselves for taking part, Laura and David and the team at the Town Hall, Debbie Lord for the transport, the team from the Halifax Bank, Repro Arts, Asda Great Yarmouth, Lacon Ales Lowestoft, and all the other donors and sponsors who kindly donated for the evening as well as the guests themselves for attending the Moveable Feast.
“Plans are already under way for next year’s evening.”
